Leadership Development Case Study
Challenge
Our Client a mid sized global software and services firm had asked us to develop a leadership development program. This program was to be focused on all teammates, who had people leading responsibilities to develop them into inspiring and motivating leaders.
Project Scope
We worked with 45 teammates across 4 different countries with the objective to develop their leadership skills and transform them from command and control managers into inspiring leaders. Our focus was to strengthen all types of leadership domains including responsible, inspirational, supportive, personal, relational and contextual.
Approach
We have established a leadership baseline to identify their current leadership capabilities. We then developed a coaching and development plan both in group and individual settings. We focused on problem solving, developing trust, motivating, coaching and developing communication skills.
Results
Of the over 45 teammates who participated in this program, they found that many teams were more effective and in were working toward the larger purpose - not just their own area. The leaders became more proactive in delegating and problem solving. Teams found their leaders more approachable, less controlling and felt they had more autonomy to problem solve on their own. Our client reported that leaders are more fulfilled and passionately committed to the organization.
