Cultural Transformation Case Study
Challenge
Our client had a great culture to begin with. Despite being a multi-billion dollar public company; their culture felt like a family and people loved the environment. The challenge was they got complacent and stopped innovating. For a long time the company made a lot of money with very little effort, but now the landscape was changing and in order to remain competitive they needed to evolve, they needed to become nimble and agile.
Project Scope
Our team was brought onboard to inspire a company wide culture change.
Approach
Our first step was to assess the current culture and employee engagement of the organization through data-driven research. Once complete, we aligned leadership around a common purpose and goals for the organization. Our team suggested a common framework and helped the company rally the remainder of the organization behind this initiative.
Results
We helped our client double their cross-functional team engagement to organically lead this transformation and inspire over 1200 team members to join the cultural initiative. We successfully implemented and rolled out a strategy that helped our client inspire the mindset of continuous improvement, create a safe-to-fail environment, encourage experimentation and invest in visual workplace. In less than 12 months, the client increased their employee engagement scores by 23% around their lowest area: trust in leadership. They transformed their workforce from complacent to inspired to continuously improve and experiment. These experiments led to 19,606 hours saved for business partners & clients and $17 million in savings over the period of three years.
